ANGBONON RICHARD is an Ivorian magistrate specialising in the prosecution of economic and financial crimes with over ten years of experience. He has solid expertise in international judicial cooperation, financial investigations and institutional support. He is accustomed to working with international institutions (UN, Council of Europe, Interpol) to strengthen regulatory and strategic frameworks for combating cybercrime.
He represented Côte d'Ivoire for five years during the negotiations of the Comprehensive International Convention on Combating the Use of Information and Communications Technologies for Criminal Purposes (New York and Vienna), which will be open for signature by States on 25 October 2025 in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Formerly Deputy Public Prosecutor, he is now an Investigating Judge in charge of the 2nd Investigating Chamber of the Economic and Financial Crime Division.
