The Government of the Principality of Monaco, as represented by the Ministry of External Relations and Cooperation, made a voluntary contribution of EUR 15 000 to the Octopus Project of the Council of Europe to support the organisation of this year’s edition of the Octopus Conference marking the 25th anniversary of the Convention on Cybercrime (Budapest Convention).
Monaco is one of the 81 countries worldwide to have joined the Treaty, having ratified it in 2017. Monaco is also a signatory of the First Additional Protocol to the Convention, concerning the criminalisation of acts of a racist and xenophobic nature committed through computer crimes.
The Council of Europe welcomes this timely contribution of Monaco to the Octopus Project.
