Adv Jacqueline (Jacky) Fick is the CEO of VizStrat Solutions and a leading African specialist in cyber governance, cybersecurity, digital investigations, and cyber-law reform. She serves as Chairperson of the Eswatini Royal Science and Technology Park Board, sits on the ICFP Board, and is a member of the GFCE and the EU CyberNet Pool of Experts.
Jacky is widely recognised for her extensive work in policy development, legislative drafting, and national cyber frameworks. She has supported the drafting of South Africa’s Cybercrimes Act, completed the first draft of the South African Cybersecurity Bill, and authored both the Eswatini Guidelines on Cybercrime and Cybersecurity Legislation, as well as the South African Standard Operating Procedures on Electronic Evidence issued under the Cybercrimes Act. She has reviewed Zambia’s cybersecurity and cybercrime legislation, drafted international cooperation protocols, developed national instructions and operational frameworks, and prepared multiple digital-evidence instruments for African governments. In addition to drafting, she has trained prosecutors, judges, law-enforcement agencies, regulators, and ICT institutions across Africa on cybercrime, digital evidence, forensic readiness, and the practical implementation of cyber laws and procedures.
Her career includes senior roles in the Scorpions (DSO), PwC, and Cell C, where she led complex investigations into cybercrime, fraud, and corruption, and provided strategic guidance on governance, risk, and information security.
Jacky contributes to regional and global cyber-capacity initiatives and has delivered high-level advisory and drafting support to the UNODC, European Union, and UK FCDO, aligning African cyber structures with international best practice.
She holds a B Iuris, LLB, MBA, and multiple cybersecurity, forensic, and legislative-drafting qualifications. Her work has earned her several honours, including the Risk Rewards Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award and the ACFE Advocacy of the Year Award.
