iPROCEEEDS-2: Domestic Workshop on Cybersecurity - Table-top exercises for testing procedures, crisis management processes, institutional arrangements and agreements within Serbian CERT

In an online environment characterized by an increase of the cybercrimes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the role of the CERTs/ CIRTs (Computer Emergency /Computer Incident Response Teams) in preventing cyber-attacks and in coordinating the technical response at national level has grew.

In this context, the Joint Project of the European Union and the Council of Europe – iPROCEEDS-2 organized an online domestic workshop on cybersecurity, aimed at enhancing the capabilities of the cybersecurity representatives from Serbia, on 19 – 20 October 2020.

The workshop was supported by 2 international experts and brought together national CERT representatives, representatives of the Office for IT and eGovernment, cybercrime investigators, cybercrime prosecutors, National Bank representatives, representatives of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.

Through a series of presentations, case scenarios and thematic discussions, the workshop looked to enhance the skills and knowledge of CERT in Serbia regarding incident handling and communication channels as well as preserving the evidence, developing compliant operational practices and evidence collection standards.
