Davis Ansah Opoku is the Member of Parliament for the Mpraeso Constituency in Ghana. He serves as Vice Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee and is a member of the Communications and Information Committee of Parliament. His work focuses on strengthening transparency in public finance, promoting digital transformation, and advancing Ghana’s cybersecurity agenda.
Davis is passionate about using technology to make governance more open and accountable. Through his work in Parliament and his involvement in initiatives that combat human trafficking, he continues to advocate for policies that protect people and ensure that technology serves humanity. His experience gives him a rare perspective on how lawmakers can shape digital policies that promote innovation while safeguarding citizens.
He has pursued advanced studies in law, technology, and governance, including a Master of Laws in IT Law and a Professional Development Certificate in Parliamentary Governance from McGill University in Canada.
Davis believes that Africa’s digital future will be built on cooperation among governments, industry, and citizens, and he continues to champion this vision in both national and continental policy conversations.
