CyberSouth: National workshop on developing the cybercrime reporting mechanism in Tunisia

Tunisia was the third of the CyberSouth project priority countries to which a national workshop to support the development of a dedicated cybercrime reporting mechanism was held on 27th of October 2021.

 

The role and benefits of the cybercrime reporting mechanism, its structure, models and methods of collection of the cybercrime complaints were topics of discussion between the Council of Europe representatives, the experts and representatives of the Tunisian authorities who were introduced with the Romanian cybercrime reporting mechanism. In addition, the Tunisian representatives presented their channels of reporting cybercrimes, detailing the responsibilities of the institutions involved, while mentioning also the prevention activities.

 

The meeting also facilitated the identification of further support to be provided by the CyberSouth project for the development of the online reporting platform for cybercrime attacks, and written procedures to be followed in handling cybercrime complaints in Tunisia.
