Plenary meeting of Judicial Training Network on Cybercrime and Electronic Evidence, supported by the Cybercrime Programme Office of the Council of Europe

At the plenary meeting of the International Network of the National Judicial Trainers (INJT) on Cybercrime and Electronic Evidence, held on 12 December 2023 in Bucharest, Romania, all CyberSouth priority countries discussed the possibility to integrate the CyberSouth Judicial Training Network into this global community.

Priorities and needs of National Judicial Training Institutions in educating magistrates to handle electronic evidence and cybercrime cases are very similar and exchange of best practices and techniques at global level are beneficial.

The INJT, a joint initiative of the projects implemented by the Cybercrime Programme Office, including the joint European Union / Council of Europe CyberSouth project, connects trainers from all regions of the world, promoting and supporting a strategic approach to integrate judicial training modules on cybercrime and electronic evidence into national and international programmes.

MENA countries have all developed national models to prepare student and in-service magistrates on cybercrime and electronic evidence, however it is not always easy to exchange on national training strategies and material with other countries. The INJT offers such an opportunity, connecting and providing a sustainable platform to access and share information on latest developments and common challenges.
