Building on previous training activities delivered by the CyberSouth+ project, the Palestinian Public Prosecution, in partnership with Birzeit University, has taken a significant step forward by developing a national Diploma in Cybercrime and Digital Investigations, dedicated to a first cohort of public prosecutors. This initiative reflects a growing institutional commitment to embedding cybercrime expertise within the Palestinian criminal justice system.
The CyberSouth+ joint project of the European Union and the Council of Europe is contributing to this nationally-owned effort through a series of weekly online modules delivered by international experts, covering cybercrime and financial investigations, electronic evidence, and digital forensics. The series was kicked off on Saturday, 28 February 2026, with an opening lecture on the Digital Crime Scene and Governing Legal Rules, setting the tone for a structured and practice-oriented curriculum.
The modules run throughout the first half of 2026 and aim to equip prosecutors with the technical and procedural knowledge needed to handle cybercrime cases and digital evidence effectively, from the crime scene to the courtroom.
