Cybercrime

Albina Ovcearenco is Head of Digital Development Unit and Secretary to the Committee on
Artificial Intelligence (CAI). She was previously in charge of several intergovernmental
cooperation files, namely personal data protection, counter-terrorism and public
international law and has an extensive experience in the technical cooperation in the field
(cybercrime, money laundering and confidence-building measures in the zones of
frozen/protracted conflicts). She first joined the Council of Europe as a parliamentarian
assistant in the Parliamentary Assembly and also worked previously in private sector
(patents and trademarks law). She has degrees in political science, human rights and
international public law.
