A CoE Expert visited Chisinau to hold consultations on the development of conflict of interest guidelines for managers of public institutions. The aim of the visit was to collect information, experiences and conflict of interest cases in the Republic of Moldova from a variety of state and non-state actors. These findings will facilitate the drafting of the guidelines on conflict of interest, in close collaboration with the National Integrity Authority (NIA). The CoE expert and the CLEP project team met with representatives from NIA, the National Anti-Corruption Centre and the State Chancellory. In addition, meetings with civil society organizations (Transparency International Moldova, Viitorul and Centre for Analysis and Prevention of Corruption) and a representative of the investigative journalism community in Moldova were organized to discuss local conflict of interest typologies.
