A group of Council of Europe experts carried out an on-site visit to Kyrgyzstan to discuss the preparation of the Anti-Corruption Action Plan 2018-2020. The participants discussed the challenges and lessons learned in the implementation of the previous Anti-Corruption Action Plan to be taken into account in the development of the new edition of the Action Plan for 2018-2020.

The on-site mission also included meetings aimed at reviewing and streamlining interagency coordination practices in Kyrgyzstan among key stakeholders involved in anti-corruption efforts.

The meeting programme of the CoE experts team included the General Prosecutor’s Office, the Prime Minister’s Office, the Security Council, the Supreme Court, the Financial Police, the State Committee on National Security, the State Personnel Service and representatives of the civil society.
