Some 30 Kyrgyz participants representing state authorities, research institutes, academia and independent experts, attended the workshop “Methodology for Measuring Corruption in Kyrgyzstan” on 24 and 25 May 2017 in Bishkek. The workshop provided an overview of international tools and practices, and constituted a platform for discussing the next steps to be taken in the design of a Corruption Measurement Methodology tailored for Kyrgyzstan. The Methodology will be designed by international experts following the debates in Bishkek and shall enable the authorities to map the types of corruption affecting the country, and take remediation measures
