Global Education News is an electronic newsletter where national global education coordinators or practitioners can share global education news and best practices, useful thematic links and educational materials. It also serves as a medium for the North-South Centre global education network national coordinators' own use. |

Dear friends, . Education related activities and events are blossoming in Spring. In April, the Global Campaign for Education will mobilise citizens worldwide for quality education to end exclusion. This will be relayed in June by the EU presidency conference on intercultural dialogue in development education. In late Spring the North-South Centre will launch the Global Education Guideline, a tool to support educational practitioners from formal and non-formal sectors to implement global education awareness-raising activities while strengthening global education fundamentals and practices. This tool, built up on gained experience by the Global Education Week network and partners, will serve as a background instrument to develop, in a second phase, an online or/and face to face training course on global education. Meanwhile the North-South Centre is organising the Africa-Europe training course for Youth organisations in the follow-up of the recent Africa-Europe Youth Summit which final report is now available from the NSC website, together with the final report of its annual Mollina University on Youth and Development. April was also the month for the North-South Prize Award ceremony which call for candidates 2008 is now open and available form the NSC website. You will find more on this newsletter, namely useful resources on intercultural dialogue and language policies (uunder §4) and more events under §6 and more about campaigns under §8.
