Joint Meeting of the EUR-OPA Committee of Permanent Correspondents and Directors of Specialised Centres - 2019

The EUR-OPA  Committee of Permanent Correspondents and the Directors of Specialised Centres held their Joint Meeting on 5-6 November 2019 in Paris. The directors presented the main achievements and impact of the 2019 action plan. Participants discussed and agreed the priorities, new proposals, modalities of work for the programme of activities 2020-21 as well as the next EUR-OPA Ministerial Conference to be held back-to-back with the European Forum for Disaster Risk Reduction (EFDRR) which is scheduled for autumn 2021 in Portugal.

EUR-OPA will establish synergies between its Medium Term Plan 2021-25 to be adopted by Ministers and the EFDRR Road Map 2021-30 in order to give visibility to the strengthening of regional cooperation with UNDRR Office for Europe and the EU for disaster risk reduction.
