Co-organised by the ERGO Network and the Centre for European Policy Studies

This high-level conference marks the closing event of the JEKHIPE project and brings together EU and national policymakers, representatives of the judiciary, ombudspersons, law enforcement authorities, civil society organisations, international organisations, members of the Alliance Against Antigypsyism, and Roma voices in Brussels. The event will present the key findings and policy recommendations emerging from the project and facilitate dialogue on advancing transitional justice approaches to address antigypsyism in Europe.

JEKHIPE (2024–2026) is a European project coordinated by the European Roma Grassroots Organisations Network (ERGO) in partnership with the European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture (ERIAC), the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS), and national partners from Czechia, Germany, Italy, Romania, Spain, and Sweden. The project addresses structural and institutional barriers to justice and equality for Roma by combining research, policy advocacy, capacity building, and awareness-raising activities. By examining both historical injustices affecting Roma communities and contemporary manifestations of antigypsyism, JEKHIPE aims to promote transitional justice approaches, strengthen accountability mechanisms, and support Roma civil society and policymakers in advancing equality and combating antigypsyism across Europe.
