The Special Representative travels to Brussels to present her priorities and exchange views on refugees and migration related developments with EU and other partners

On 7-8 March 2022, the Special Representative of the Secretary General on Migration and Refugees, Ms Leyla Kayacik, is visiting Brussels. Meetings are scheduled with representatives of the European Union: Johannes Luchner, Deputy Director General in charge of Horizontal Affairs & Migration, European Commission (DG Home), Tom Snels, Deputy Head of Cabinet of Ms Ylva Johansson, Commissioner for Home Affairs, Belen Martinez Carbonell, Managing Director for Global Agenda and Multilateral Relations (EEAS) and Kim Freidberg, Director (DG Justice and Home Affairs), Council of the European Union. She will also have an exchange with Birgit Van Hout, Regional Representative for Europe Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, as well as with representatives of other UN agencies: UNHCR, UNICEF and IOM.

 

The Special Representative will present her priorities and exchange views on the latest developments regarding migration and refugees in Europe.
