Today, the Council of Europe Office in Pristina hosted our Member States’ Ambassadors and representatives for an Open Day.
Our Head of Office, Mary Ann Hennessey, shared the highlights of 27 years of Council of Europe presence, an overview of our current work, and most importantly, introduced the people behind the results.
Looking ahead to Montenegro’s Presidency of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers, 10 November 2026-12 May 2027, Ambassador Bernard Çobaj outlined his country’s priorities in human rights, democracy and the rule of law. He also shared the cultural activities his embassy plans to organise over the coming six months.
Guests met the project teams behind our work, creating space for conversations about achievements, challenges and the plans ahead. At the heart of these exchanges was a practical question: what do these results mean for people in everyday life?
The open discussions offered an opportunity to thank our Member States for their partnership and to share with them what their support has produced through the Office’s work, to exchange ideas and reflect on where further efforts are needed.
