Conference of INGOs supports the reform of the system of the European Social Charter Treaties

The consideration and commitment to the advancement of social rights has always been a priority of the Conference of INGOs over the last decade and in its latest strategic plan.  The recently created  "Action for Social Rights" Committee of the Conference brings together INGOs directly active in the protection and promotion of social rights.

The Conference of INGOs believes that the current phase of the reform process of the Treaty system is crucial for the future of the Charter and of social rights in Europe.

The Conference supports certain measures and recommendations made by the CDDH and the Secretary General and also formulates its own proposals in the attached position paper and underlines its readiness to continue to contribute to the reform process.
