The Programming Committee on Youth took decisions on the applications received by the European Youth Foundation for pilot activity grants at the deadline of 15 May 2025. Following this decision, out of the 112 applications received at this deadline, grants were awarded to 6 pilot activities in 5 member states for a total of €84,611. Out of the approved initiatives, four were proposed by first time applicant youth organisations.

A short description of the awarded projects can be found below:

• The project “Federalist Peace Forum” organised by the Young European Federalists Germany aims to tackle the deepening of the conflict in the Middle East, and all its consequences on young people worldwide, through a meeting among young people to discuss the possibility of dialogue among different sides and solutions to the conflict, followed by human rights actions.
• The project “CivicConnect Poland” by the Polish Council of Youth Organizations, will address the limited youth engagement in local decision-making and the lack of structured support for meaningful civic engagement by creating a national umbrella platform for local youth councils to share the tools and resources, to enhance peer-learning and collaboration and to empower local youth in active civic participation.
• The “House of Youths” project by the NGO InCo – Molfetta seeks to create a local youth forum and kick-off a structured process of youth participation in the city of Molfetta, region of Puglia, south of Italy. The main activities include the consultations with young people, the launch of the forum, a study visit to a city in Spain for exchange of practices, and working on youth policy documents, with a final event foreseen at the end of the project.
• The Center for New Ideas NGO from Poland, through its project “Reframe Belarus: Youth Narratives for Peace” aims to promote peace, inclusion, and intercultural dialogue among 30 Belarussian youth in exile to become digital peacebuilders through a three-month online training and mentoring programme, that will strengthen their skills in ethical storytelling, critical digital literacy, and civic engagement.
• The STAD Civil Society Research Association in Türkiye, through the “Urban Rights Reclaimed by Youth” project addresses the underrepresentation of young people in local affairs, namely the lack of awareness about their rights, limited channels to engage with city officials and social exclusion in urban planning. It will tackle this issue by empowering youth in Lüleburgaz through a 7-day capacity building training programme on rights-based participation, urban governance, advocacy, youth-inclusive urban design, and public space theory and practice. The project will produce visual outputs, including maps and audio-visual materials, improvement reports for public spaces, documentation for training and reports of meetings that will be initiated by youth and conducted with local decision-makers.
• The “Child and Youth Friendly Governance Project” through their project “Strengthening active citizenship and democratic participation among children and young people” aims to address the democratic disengagement of young people in the French speaking regions of Switzerland and will organise a four-day training course for 28 young people and children covering topics of civic and political rights, democratic debate, advocacy and training of trainers. After the piloting of this activity, the aim is to replicate this model to a national level as follow-up impact.

The next deadline for grants, available only for national organisations with partners, or international youth organisations and international networks is the 1 October 2025, for international activity, annual work plans and structural grants.
