On 4 December 2025, Ögmundur Jónasson, one of ECRI’s Rapporteurs for Finland, delivered a presentation at the discussion event organised by the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The event focused on the recommendations issued to Finland by ECRI in its Sixth Report on Finland, published on 28 October 2025, including the two recommendations for which ECRI requests priority implementation. The Sixth Opinion of the Advisory Committee of the Council of Europe’s Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities was also presented at the event.

The event brought together representatives of the Finnish public authorities involved in the implementation of ECRI’s recommendations, the equality bodies and relevant civil society organisations.

A summary of the discussions will be prepared by the organisers after the event and submitted to the Government of Finland.
