• Canada- The BSO (Black Screen Office) has produced ground-breaking research projects designed to accelerate system change towards equity, inclusion and authentic content creation across Canada’s screen industries. Between 2017 and 2020, Eurimages awarded residency scholarships to support female directors. This support has been integrated into the Sponsorship programme; eligible residencies may apply under the current sponsorship cycle.

As part of its 2018-2020 Gender Equality Action Plan Eurimages awarded scholarships to two residencies: Venice-Biennale and Berlin Nipkow to offer to one of their female students. This scholarship amounted to a cash support of €7 000 and was intended to encourage female directors in their ongoing careers.
