Riane Harper is Senior Corporate Counsel for Microsoft's Law Enforcement and National Security team, based in Brussels. She leads policy engagement and legal advice on government access to data for the EMEA and APAC regions. Before joining Microsoft, she served at the U.S. Department of Justice, including as a cybercrime prosecutor and Senior Cyber Counsel to the Deputy Attorney General, and at the U.S. Department of State working on UN negotiations and sanctions policy.
