Puvadet Prommakrit

Mr. Puvadet Prommakrit has served as a public prosecutor at the Office of the Attorney General of Thailand (OAG) since 2015. Before joining the OAG, he spent over a decade as a police officer with the Royal Thai Police. A Fulbright scholar, he currently represents Thailand as the governmental expert in the review mechanism of the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (UNTOC), and was a member of the Thai delegation that negotiated the UN Convention against Cybercrime, which was recently adopted. He also participates in ongoing negotiations of the ASEAN Extradition Treaty. Mr. Prommakrit has prosecuted criminal cases in both Bangkok and provincial courts. He now works in the International Affairs Department of the OAG, where he handles matters related to mutual legal assistance and extradition, with a particular focus on cybercrime and transnational cooperation.
He holds a degree in Police Science from the Royal Police Cadet Academy of Thailand and earned his law degree from Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University in 2008. In 2011, he passed the Thai Bar Examination and completed a Master of Laws in Criminal Law and Criminal Justice at Chulalongkorn University. In 2014, he obtained a second Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Pennsylvania, USA, as a recipient of the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship.
