The Government of the United States has made voluntary contributions of more than US$ 1.3 million to the Octopus Project of the Council of Europe in order to support countries worldwide in the implementation of the Convention on Cybercrime and its Second Protocol on electronic evidence.
One of the contributions is in support of specific actions on cybercrime and electronic evidence in Kosovo*.
Ms. Yvonne M. Gonzales, Deputy Permanent Observer to the Council of Europe and Consul General of the United States of America, met Bjørn Berge Deputy Secretary General, on this occasion.
*All references to Kosovo, whether to the territory, institutions, or population, in this text shall be understood in full compliance with United Nations’ Security Council Resolution 1244 and without prejudice to the status of Kosovo.
