Nick Bauer leads Google’s global public policy work on hate speech, harassment, violent extremism, and terrorism. In that capacity, he advises Google and YouTube's teams on relevant initiatives and engages with governments and civil society experts around the world. Previously, Nick served as Google’s Head of Public Policy for Malaysia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, where he led the company’s work with policymakers and political stakeholders in those countries. He graduated from Oberlin College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics.
