Leonie Oehmig is a Digital Policy and Research Analyst at ISD Germany, where she focuses on researching online gender-based violence, with a particular interest in intimate image abuse and the impact of artificial intelligence. She also contributes to projects related to the EU’s Digital Services Act (DSA) and the compliance of Very Large Online Platforms (VLOPs). Her work combines in-depth research and policy analysis to translate empirical findings into actionable policy recommendations. Prior to joining ISD, Leonie completed a Master’s degree in Sociology at the University of Potsdam, where her thesis examined synthetic non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII). She also worked at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center, contributing to a range of social science research projects
