Kate McCormack, BL is Corporate Counsel on the Data Disclosure Strategy Team at Google Ireland, where she has worked since March 2022 (over 4.5 years). She advises Google on complex data disclosure requests, statutory obligations, and regulatory frameworks such as the EU e-Evidence Regulation.

Prior to Google, Kate spent 12 years practising Barrister-at-Law specialising in criminal law and regulatory investigations. Her courtroom experience includes landmark litigation before the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) in Luxembourg on the compatibility of national data retention laws with EU fundamental rights.
