Jersain Llamas Covarrubias is a Mexican lawyer and researcher specialising in cybersecurity, technology regulation, cybercrime and data protection. He holds an LL.M. and a PhD in Data Science and is a professor-researcher at the University of Guadalajara. He is also co-founder and CEO of OBEX Cybersecurity. His work bridges legal, technical and strategic perspectives on cybersecurity governance and regulation, with particular interests in cyber risk, electronic evidence, cross-border cooperation and cyber-enabled threats. He has also contributed to international cybersecurity initiatives, including EU CyberNet.
