iPROCEEDS-2 project, a joint project of the European Union and the Council of Europe, in partnership with WB PaCT project, a European Union funded project of CEPOL has organised a workshop on Interagency and International Cooperation on Cyberattacks during 04 – 08 July 2022 in Bucharest, Romania.

The workshop gathered 32 law enforcement officials, prosecutors, police investigators, border police and customs, and members of the Computer Emergency Response Teams fighting cybercrime and cyberattacks. The course focused on enhancing the knowledge on the most common forms of cyberattacks, the role of international cooperation in undertaking a successful cyber investigation, as well as underlining the biggest challenges related to cross-border exchange, while using online investigation methods and techniques.

The trainers, with backgrounds in both public and private sectors, shared up-to-date knowledge and experiences with the participants. The course also allowed the delegates to reflect on their recent experiences and lessons learnt, as well as discuss the challenges they are facing.

The iPROCEEDS-2 project will continue to provide support and guidance to interested authorities in South East Europe and Türkiye, especially in the context when capacity-building support is more important than ever.
