Antoaneta Vassileva is First Vice-President of GRETA, the Council of Europe’s Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings, and an international expert with over 20 years of experience in human rights, combating trafficking in human beings, child protection and online safety.

Her work focuses particularly on the evolving impact of technology on human trafficking and exploitation, including online recruitment and facilitation, digital and financial evidence, risks affecting children, and the role of technology and private-sector actors in prevention, detection and victim protection. She has extensive experience in policy development, international monitoring, institutional capacity-building and multidisciplinary cooperation across Europe.

Antoaneta is a former National Anti-Trafficking Coordinator of Bulgaria and has held senior positions in Bulgaria’s national anti-trafficking and child online safety structures. She works with international organisations, public authorities, civil society and the private sector on strengthening human rights-based and victim-centred responses to emerging forms of exploitation
