Round-table meeting to support anti-trafficking efforts in Iceland

A round-table meeting took place in Reykjavík on 19 May 2016 as a follow-up to GRETA’s report and the Committee of the Parties’ recommendation on the implementation of the Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings by Iceland.

The meeting was organised jointly by the Council of Europe and the Icelandic authorities. It brought together some 25 representatives of relevant governmental bodies and non-governmental organisations who discussed progress made since the publication of GRETA’s report on Iceland and remaining challenges in tackling human trafficking.

Iceland is expected to provide information of the measures taken to implement the recommendations made by GRETA and the Committee of the Parties by 5 December 2016.
