The music section aims to bring together amateur musicians. Concerts for staff and the general public are held throughout the year.

Activities:

The 12 Stars Band is a touring group composed of amateur musicians who perform folk, pop, and rock songs.
The choir is made up of current and former staff members, as well as members of the public. It sings in many languages and across a variety of genres, ranging from gospel to more traditional folk and classical pieces. The choir director is Avellaneda DURAND ZUNIGA. There is also a classical singing workshop led by Frédéric GAUFICHON.
Guitar lessons are taught by Gregory Schneider, a professional musician with many years of experience teaching at music schools. These lessons are designed for beginner guitarists.

The Council of Europe Amicale Choir is seeking new members to bolster our ranks (especially male singers). The choir is a fun, social choir which sings a varied repertoire, from gospel to folk and Christmas carols, in a variety of languages. We regularly perform concerts for staff members (and sometimes externally) and are also invited to sing for some events and ceremonies.

Rehearsals take place every Thursday lunchtime from 12:30 – 13:45 in the Palais de l’Europe. While having some musical training or prior choir experience helps, it is not essential – all are welcome.
