The Amicale’s EUROPA section was created in October 2012 to develop initiatives with local roots that are open to the public in Alsace and Strasbourg in particular. The EUROPA Section’s initiatives are based on partnerships with local organizations—institutional, cultural, and community-based—to develop joint projects that promote and highlight Europe in Alsace, as well as the unique character of Strasbourg, the European capital. The goal is to build bridges between the Council of Europe and the region where the institution is headquartered.
