Greek dances’ section
The Greek dances ‘section is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the magic of Greece, learn Greek dances while helping children in need.
The section has been set up jointly with the Greek-French Association Philia. Fees will also contribute to the donations made by Philia to schools or any other foundations hosting children in need.
What to expect?
Learning Greek dances representative of all regions of Greece, as well as the basics of the country’s culture and traditions. The dance programme is tailored each year to suit the group’s level, needs, and composition. Each month, a different region of Greece is chosen and dances from that region are taught. This approach greatly helps participants to bring together the dances from each region, whilst also enabling them to immerse themselves more fully in the culture and traditions of Greece’s various regions. Depending on the group’s composition, the aim is to teach more advanced dances next year, as well as dances from regions that were not covered this year.
