Every organisation functions as a collective psyche. Alongside formal structures, there are unconscious dynamics: authority, fear, rivalry, idealisation, burnout, silence. When these dynamics are not reflected upon, they tend to be acted out, often at unwanted psychological cost.
The Psychology Club offers a space where the inner life of the organisation can be thought about rather than lived unconsciously. It was established in 2023 to provide a safe space for exploring Jungian concepts and sharing experiences aimed at strengthening psychological resilience and addressing challenges encountered both in personal life and within organisational work settings.
So far, organisation-wide conferences took place with experts in analytical psychology (notably from ISAP-Zürich). Topics of conferences included the personal and collective unconscious, the influence of cultural complexes on relationships, dreams and dreaming and a pilgrimage towards the Self. Monthly meetings have taken place among the club members to discuss and exchange experience on the personal and collective shadow, mother complex, the psychology of 'the foreigner', what makes us feel 'at home', individuation, enchantment and the psychological types. These meetings continue on a regular basis.
