This year the Council of Europe’s Relay for Life team participated in the 24-hour Relay organized by the Ligue contre le Cancer on 17-18th June in Oberhausbergen, Bas-Rhin as an act of solidarity for those living with cancer.
The €715 raised this year will go toward improving the patient conditions and the support infrastructure notably for la Maison de Santé Bethel in Oberhausbergen.

Ruth Baillie-McKenna has devoted 10 years to the organization of this event and is now looking for a replacement Captain. She will deputize and participate in next year’s event in June 2024.
