The Psychology Club of the Council of Europe Staff Association invites you to a conference and workshop dedicated to unconscious biases on Friday, 16 October 2026, led by Patrick Schmidt, intercultural coach, author and lecturer at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).

Unconscious biases shape the way we perceive others, interact with people and interpret the world around us, often without us even realising it.

Drawing on neuroscience and the interpretation of works of art, Patrick Schmidt will explore these hidden mechanisms and their influence on our perceptions and intercultural relationships, particularly within the European context.

This event offers an opportunity to reflect on our own assumptions, challenge our perceptions and gain a deeper understanding of how unconscious biases affect our everyday interactions.
