Edita Žiobienė is the Lithuanian Ombudsperson for Child’s Rights since 2010, on 2016-2017 Chairperson of European Network of Ombudspersons for Children (ENOC), member of the Advisory Committee on the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities since 2016 and 2010- 2014. She graduated in Sociology, Law and holds a Doctor of Social Sciences (Law) degree. She is also a prof. of Constitutional and Human Rights Law at the Mykolas Romeris University. Edita Žiobienė is an author of numerous scientific publications on national human rights institutions, protection of human rights, children’s rights, the right to privacy, equal treatment, etc.
