Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction
First session, Geneva, Switzerland, 5-7 June 2007

The European and Mediterranean Major Hazards Agreement (EUR-OPA) reaffirmed its commitment in the implementation of the Hyogo Framework for Action 2005-2015 which aims to achieve a substantial reduction of disaster losses, in lives and in the social, economic and environmental assets, in participating in the 1st session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction organized by the International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UN-ISDR) (5-7 June 2007, Geneva, Switzerland).
