The Prizes of the Children's International Art Contest
(age group: 6-18 years)
Theme:
"I Saw Disaster with My Eyes".
Pictures illustrated natural and man-made disasters: floods, droughts, hail
storms, tornadoes, fires, environmental accidents, war conflicts, rescue
operations, self help and solidarity, etc. A motto or brief message, printed
on a separate piece of paper in English, accompanied each picture. Aim:
Encourage the talent and way of thinking of children and teenagers towards
survival, friendship and solidarity in times of disaster and in everyday
life. Organisers: the State Agency for Civil Protection, Sofia and the
