Among the activities of a data protection supervisory authority, the control is particularly important, as it creates a dynamic of prevention and advice to data controllers as well as due to its possible repressive function.
In order to support the Tunisian Data Protection Authority (INPDP) in this task, training of its members was initiated through the organisation of a first workshop to map out the training needs as well as to define necessary tools and procedures. It will soon be followed by a training session.
The workshop took place on 23 May 2019 and was hosted by the EDPS in Brussels in the framework of the European Union/Council of Europe joint programme “Support to Independent Instances in Tunisia” PAII-T.
