At its 48th Plenary Meeting (Strasbourg, 17-19 June 2025), the Consultative Committee of the Convention for the protection of individuals with regard to automatic processing of personal data elected Ms Tamar Kaldani as the Data Protection Commissioner of the Council of Europe.

The Council of Europe Data Protection Commissioner is in charge of overseeing that data protection rules are respected for all personal data collected and processed by the Council of Europe.
