First edition of the Stefano Rodotà Award

The Committee of Convention 108 is launching a competition for the first time this year, intended to reward innovative and original academic research projects helping to advance data protection reflections.

The award will be given in honor and memory of Stefano Rodotà, a prominent Italian lawyer and politician who devoted much of his life to the promotion of the right to data protection.

The Stefano Rodotà Award will be awarded by the Jury, composed of the Chairperson of the Committee of Convention 108 and members of the Bureau. The project that stands out will be unveiled on Data Protection Day (28 January 2019).

The selected project will benefit from increased visibility and recognition by the Committee of Convention 108. The prize-winner will have the honor to present his/her project at the next Plenary session of the Committee of Convention 108 to be held in Strasbourg from 12 to 14 June 2019.

The competition is open to students and researchers from members or observers of the Committee of Convention 108.

Interested parties can send the duly completed application form to the following email address before 18 December 2018 at midnight.
