Appointment of Conciliator and Deputy Conciliator for CCNR, HCCH and OTIF

19.04.2018 - In the framework of the Agreements signed between the Council of Europe and three international organisations – Central Commission for the Navigation of the Rhine (CCNR), Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH) and Intergovernmental Organisation for International Carriage by Rail (OTIF) – extending the jurisdiction of the Administrative Tribunal of the Council of Europe to these organisations, Ms Nina Vajić, Chair of the Administrative Tribunal, appointed on 3 April 2018 for a five-year term:

- Ms Mireille Heers as Conciliator for CCNR and OTIF and as Deputy Conciliator for HCCH;
- Mr Thomas Laker as Conciliator for HCCH and as Deputy Conciliator for CCNR and OTIF.

The conciliators' secretariat will be provided by the Registry of the Tribunal.br>
Registration of an appeal before the Administrative Tribunal

19.04.2018 - On 3 April 2018, the Administrative Tribunal registered appeal No. 589/2018 – Victor SOLOVEYTCHIK v. Secretary General. The appellant seeks the annulment of the decision of 20 December 2017 of the Directorate of Human Resources insofar as it determines that a pension transfer request submitted after a date fixed by HRD would be refused.

This information is given to enable those who so wish to exercise their right to intervene under Article 10 of the Statute of the Administrative Tribunal.

New composition of the Administrative Tribunal

29.03.2018 - On 21 March 2018, the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe appointed the judges and deputy judges of the Administrative Tribunal of the Council of Europe for a new term. Previously, the European Court of Human Rights had appointed the Chair and the Deputy Chair. For the term as from 1st April 2018, the Administrative Tribunal is composed as follows:
