The Committee of Experts of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages held its 70th plenary meeting from 29 September to 1 October 2021 in a hybrid format (Strasbourg/online). Having resumed its monitoring visits in June, the Committee of Experts adopted its evaluation reports on the application of the Charter by Poland and Cyprus. It also adopted its mid-term report on the implementation of its recommendations for immediate action by Armenia (to be published soon).

The evaluation reports on Poland and Cyprus will be transmitted to the authorities of the respective State Party for possible comments within a deadline of two months. The reports and the states comments will then be made public and submitted to the Committee of Ministers, together with proposals for recommendations that, once adopted by the latter, will be addressed to the State Party.
