The results of the second round of project’s evaluation under the Council of Europe’s Pilot Programme for Series Co-Productions have just been announced. Further to the evaluations made by independent experts, the Council of Europe, home of Eurimages, has decided to support nine series co-productions for a total amount of €3 500 000. Of the 9 series co-productions projects supported during the session, women represent 42% of creators, 55% of writers and 40% of directors. Thirteen national, regional, or minority languages are used.

NEM Zagreb, which will run from 10-12 December, has announced the line-up of industry experts who will judge the second edition of the NEM Awards, which celebrate the best content originating from Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Finnish series project ‘The Women I Think About At Night’ leads TV Beats winners at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival

Finnish drama series project The Women I Think About At Night headed the winners at the TV Beats Co-Financing Market, part of the Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF). Currently in development, comedy-drama The Women I Think About At Night follows a 40-year-old woman who reevaluates her life after her best friend becomes pregnant. It took the €50,000 Series Co-Production Development Award for most promising project, given as part of the Council of Europe’s Pilot Programme open to independent producers from Eurimages member states.

The Council of Europe Series Co-Production Development Award, worth €50,000, fosters creative collaborations among Eurimages member countries. This year’s winner, Imperial Vampire Committee by Joyrider Kft (Hungary/Czech Republic/Austria), stood out for its unique narrative. According to the jury, they “were captivated by a project that transforms history into a mirror for our times, blending the intrigue of mysticism with the weight of historical drama.
