During her third visit to Ukraine (6-7 May 2026), the Special Envoy of the Secretary General on the Situation of Children of Ukraine, Thórdís Kolbrún Reykfjörd Gylfadóttir, met with government representatives, international organisations, and civil society partners to discuss key challenges facing children affected by the war, both in Ukraine and abroad. She advocated for solutions that uphold the best interests of the child, strengthen protection against trafficking and exploitation, and ensure access to rehabilitation and reintegration services, in line with Council of Europe human rights standards.
