A brochure "Key Actions for Gender Equality" is now available, summarising the goals, measures, and actions of the Council of Europe Gender Equality Strategy 2024-2029, to offer a comprehensive roadmap for achieving equality. The publication outlines six strategic objectives, including preventing gender stereotypes, combating violence against women, ensuring equal access to justice, achieving balanced participation in public life, addressing global challenges, and implementing gender mainstreaming.
Within these objectives, the brochure specifically addresses migrant, refugee and asylum-seeking women and girls under Strategic Objective 5, which calls for member states to implement Council of Europe Recommendation CM/Rec(2022)17 on protecting their rights, and under Strategic Objective 3, which identifies migrant, refugee and asylum-seeking women and girls among groups facing additional barriers to justice. The brochure was developed under the project "Promoting Gender Equality in Ukraine" (Pro-GE), and is also available in Ukrainian.
