The report of the 3rd meeting of the Council of Europe Committee of Experts on the Rights and the Best Interests of the Child in Parental Separation and in Care Proceedings (CJ/ENF-ISE) held on 14-15 April is now available.
At this meeting the experts examined the draft feasibility studies on the best interest of the child in parental separation situation and care proceedings, including proposals for policy instruments and/or practical tools to be developed.
The experts also held an exchange of views with Mr Benoît Van Keirsbilck, independent expert of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) on topical issues, to ensure that the committee’s work takes into account the relevant UN standards, as set out in its terms of reference.
