A delegation of the Committee of Experts visited Serbia from 24-28 October 2022 to evaluate progress made in the protection and promotion of regional and minority languages. It holds meetings with the representatives of the regional or minority languages speakers and of the authorities in Novi Sad, Subotica, Vršac, Pančevo and Belgrade. This is the fifth monitoring visit of the Committee to Serbia. Following this visit, the Committee will draw up its evaluation report on the implementation of the Language Charter in Serbia containing specific findings and recommendations for follow-up. The report is expected to be published in 2023.
